Living Room Damp Proofing and Refurbishment - Leominster
Living Room refurbishment works that included:
Replacement of the suspended timber floor due to a combination of fungal attack and wood boring infestation. Replacement floor used a damp proof membrane to the entirety of the sub-floor void. Pre-treated timber formed all joists, noggins and supports. Insulation was then installed prior to vapour membrane and chipboard sheets being laid.
Works also included the removal of the existing wall plaster to allow for the installation of a chemical damp proof course.
Following this the existing ceiling was counter battened, all walls insulated, prior to a metal framing system being used to allow two layers of plasterboard to be installed. New lighting and sockets were located as per the clients needs and works to move the existing radiators carried out.
Finishing works included skimming all walls and ceilings, second fix plumbing and electrics and the installation of soft wood skirting boards, window boards and step out onto the rear garden patio.
