Cellar Conversion and Wider Works - Shelsley Beauchamp, Worcestershire

SRS Ltd. were appointed by a specialist period property refurbishment contractor on a period property with origins in the 16th Century. SRS Ltd. were involved from an early stage in conducting a timber and damp survey to accessible areas and further inspections as the strip out works progressed, in addition, information was given on options to convert the cellar a storage room.
The cellar conversion included a full cavity drain membrane system to all walls and floors including linking to the 2mm membrane installed to the room above. Full perimeter drainage was installed linking to a twin pump system with battery back-up. Floor insulation and supporting boards were also installed.
Works within the main house included a new chemical damp-proof course injected and a 2mm cavity drain membrane installed to numerous areas of internal walls where required.
A widespread timber treatment package was carried out, including spray treatments and brush on, boron-based timber preservatives.
